VOLUNTEERS – 2012 OLYMPICS

See details below for an event being held for potential volunteers aiming towards the 2012 Olympics.

Thanks for expressing your interest in being kept up to date on the London
2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in terms of volunteering, young people
and Northern Ireland.
I am pleased to say that we are hosting an event for young people; aged 16
- 24 on Saturday 25 July and we want you to attend.

What:                   Be a Champion, Be a Volunteer

Why:                     This event will showcase volunteering to the max!
You will have the opportunity to ask high profile sports stars / volunteers
about the impact volunteering has had on their success. You can try out a
new sport – maybe you’re a future Olympian. We also want to hear directly
from you about volunteering, 2012 and Northern Ireland – how can you play a
part, should a young person’s group be set up? What the next steps?

When:                  Saturday 25 July

Time:                    09.30am – 2pm

Where:                University of Ulster Jordanstown

How:                     If you would like to reserve your place please
send your (i) Full name, (ii) Postal Address and (iii) Age: to Ciaran Rice
(ciaran@volunteering-ni.org).

When you have reserved your place we will get back to you with further
details and finalised plans.

Thanks and bye for now,

Lyne

Habit is a intersection of knowledge, skill and desire. Knowledge of what to do and why, skill is the how to do it, and the desire or motivation to want to do it. Excellence is therefore a habit.
