SPORT LISBURN AWARDS

Sport Lisburn held their annual awards dinner on Friday 16th October. Two of our very own members of the Club were recognised for their achievements. Jack Beattie, President of Lisburn City Swimming Club won a Merit Award for his lifetime commitments to swimming both as a volunteer and as a Masters Competitor. Maureen McCoy was placed third in the Sports Personality of the Year Award. Maureen is a teacher in the Swimming Performance Scheme and in the Club and recently swam the English Channel.

Well done to both of them.

  • Coach Andy’s Tip of the Month

Habit is a intersection of knowledge, skill and desire. Knowledge of what to do and why, skill is the how to do it, and the desire or motivation to want to do it. Excellence is therefore a habit.
